Citronella Oil
  • A common grass named Cymbopogon nardus, is the source for citronella oil by steam distillation. Oil of citronella is of a yellowish-green color, having a lemon fruity odor and pungent taste.

  • The most important ingredients in this oil are geraniol and citronellal which together may make up as much as 93 per cent of the oil.

  • Citronella oil is not used in medicine in India, but is largely used in the arts, for perfuming cheap soaps, natural deodorant, candle, incense, mosquito repellent ointment. Oil has a antispasmodic, antibacterial, vermifungal, tonic, anti-inflammatory action and many more.

Carrot Seed Oil
  • The oil is extracted by steam distillation from the dried seeds of Daucus carota; the whole plant can also yield an essential oil which has yellow/amber color. The aroma of carrot seed oil is slightly spicy and fruity.

  • The main chemical properties of Carrot seed oil include : Acetic, Pinene, Carotol, Asarone, Limonene and Bisabolene.

  • Carrot seed oil is most refreshing and stimulating detoxifying.

  • Carrot seed oil contains carotene, Vitamin A, which is very good for healthy skin, hair, gums and teeth. Carrot seed essential oil is best known for the care of dry or damaged skin and hair, dermatitis, eczema, rashes and even precancerous skin conditions.

  • Carrot seed oil is one of the main ingredients used in tanning lotions, wrinkles, creams to improve skin tone, elasticity, and general skin health.

Eucalyptus Oil
  • Eucalyptus radiate essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves which has a strong pungent and camphorous odor. Eucalyptus oil is colorless to very pale yellow.

  • Eucalyptus essential oil, or its main component eucalyptol, is a mild analgesic it used to relieve muscular and skeletal pain. It is used in many drugstore products as a liniment for sore muscles.

  • It is a powerful antiseptic and is highly effective when used in a vaporizer or diffuser to relieve respiratory congestion, aftershaves, colognes, and household cleansers.

  • Eucalyptus oil has a soothing and calming effect on the whole body, helps with the immune system.

Fennel Seed Oil
  • Fennel oil is obtained from steam distillation of Foeniculum vulgare seeds. Fennel seed has a pleasant aroma like licorice sweet and somewhat spicy. The color is clear with faint yellow tinge.

  • The seed yields up to 5% of an essential oil. The flavor of fennel oil depends upon its two main constituents. 'Fenchone' is a bitter tasting element while 'anethole' has a sweet anise - like flavor.

  • This is used medicinally, as a food flavoring, in toothpastes, soaps, perfumery, air fresheners etc.

Amla Oil
  • Amla is the juicy pulpy berry fruit of Emblica officinalis but amla oil is prepared from dried amla berries. The fruits cut into pieces are dried in the shade. These pieces are boiled which have been soaked in coconut oil for several days in order to extract the oil soluble vitamins from the fruit. The dark green-brown filtered oil is the amla oil.

  • The oil contains 64.8% linolenic acid and closely resembles linseed oil.

  • Amla oil is used as hair oil, skin care and other cosmetics.
